Yangon, 9 November 2018 — A heartwarming and hilarious evening awaits movie fans as ananda presents Charlie Chaplin in “The Gold Rush”, at the 6th edition of MEMORY! International Film Heritage Festival. The well-loved classic will be screened at Mahabadoola Park on Sunday, 11 November as part of the film festival’s ‘under the stars with movie stars’ special.
In addition to the free-of-charge, open-air screening of The Gold Rush, ananda is activating its infinity hub at Mahabandoola Park from 10-12th November so that festival-goers can enjoy more film-themed games and experience Yangon’s best 4G+ data service.
Regarded as one of the most celebrated works of Chaplin, The Gold Rush is a comedy masterpiece that premiered in 1925. It features Chaplin in his ‘Little Tramp’ character and some of the most iconic dance scenes in cinema history.

With 60 films over ten days, MEMORY is one of the largest film festival in Myanmar and it is the sole of its kind in Asia. The festival focuses on heritage films, presented alongside recent works, so the audience can take a journey through time and cultures.
