Our bandwidth (capacity) is shared by all our customers at any point in time. As a responsible service provider, we must manage the network traffic so that all our customers are getting their fair share of the available bandwidth.
While we are pleased that our customers are enjoying our service to the fullest, a small number of very heavy users are taking more than their fair share of the bandwidth and degrading the experience for the vast majority of our customers.
Our Fair Use Policy is in place to ensure all customers are having the best experience of the internet and using our service in a responsible manner. It is designed to protect all our customers from the impact of excessive usage of a few.
Under our FUP, we automatically identify the extremely heavy users and manage their bandwidth past a certain threshold. Network management is necessary to deliver consistently good quality service for all, while at the same time, still allowing the extremely heavy users to continue surfing the internet albeit with certain restrictions.
